Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the PlaceAnew app for iPhone and iPad and the website placeanew.com. PlaceAnew is made by US Construction Remodeling Corp. ("we", "us"), a licensed remodeling contractor in Sacramento, California (CSLB License #1117562). By using PlaceAnew you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. The app and Apple's terms

You get PlaceAnew through Apple's App Store or TestFlight. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these terms and Apple's agreement disagree about the license to use the app, Apple's agreement wins.

2. Using PlaceAnew

You may use PlaceAnew for your own home and for your work, for example to measure a client's home. Only scan places you have permission to scan, and respect the privacy of people who live there. Don't use PlaceAnew to break the law, to harm anyone, or to try to break, copy or take apart the app or our servers.

3. Your content

Your scans, plans, photos and designs belong to you. We don't claim ownership of them. When you send us content, for example by using an AI feature or emailing us, you let us use it only to provide that feature or to help you. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

4. Measurements and estimates

PlaceAnew measures with your device's LiDAR Scanner and camera and makes professional-quality floor plans and 3D models for planning and design, for homeowners and for professionals such as architects, interior designers and contractors. Like any measurement, results can be off, and parts PlaceAnew could not see are filled in and marked as estimates. PlaceAnew does not replace a licensed survey, stamped architectural or engineering drawings for a permit, or an inspection. Check critical dimensions before you order materials, cut, build or sign a contract, and use a licensed professional where your project or the law requires one.

5. AI results

Some features use AI to read your scan. AI can be wrong. Look over every AI result before you rely on it. AI features may be limited, changed or stopped, and may not be available to everyone.

6. Your account

An account is optional. If you create one, give accurate details and keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time in the app (Account > Delete Account). We may suspend an account that is used to break these terms.

7. Test versions and changes

Test versions (for example through TestFlight) may have bugs and may lose data, so export anything important. We may add, change or remove features at any time.

8. No warranty

PlaceAnew is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free, always available, or fit for a particular purpose, and we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

9. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or materials, arising from your use of PlaceAnew, including decisions made from its measurements or AI results. Our total liability for any claim about PlaceAnew is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

10. Other services

PlaceAnew works with services from other companies, such as Sign in with Apple and Google sign-in. Their own terms apply to those services.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If the change is important, we will tell you in the app. Using PlaceAnew after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
